Welcome to Bolton, Daniel Sturridge

SOCCER-ENGLAND/CUPFour goals in the last seven games with only one win in that lot: York City. To say that the offense has been slacking is an understatement. Fresh legs and a restart are badly needed. Hopefully our new signing will bring just that.

Welcome to Bolton, Daniel Sturridge!

The young Chelsea and England U-21 forward has been struggling for minutes at Stamford Bridge. Manager Carlo Ancelotti hopes that a move to the Reebok for the rest of the season will do for Daniel what it did for Jack Wilshere last season and turn him into a quality starter.

In 41 appearances for Chelsea, Sturridge has scored 9 times with 6 of those goals coming in 5 FA Cup appearances. Only one goal in the league for him in those last two seasons but he does have two in the Champions League. Owen Coyle has already turned one misfiring striker around this season (see: Johan Elmander), let’s hope he can do the same with Sturridge so that the Whites can finally get back to their winnings ways.

With Chungy back from Asian Cup duty and Wheater having a positive debut, we’ve got a lot to look forward to. Come on you Whites!
